I used to work at TR Driggett Cyclery back in the early 1970's. I can't tell you how many hundreds of those Driggett decals we put on bicycles. The caricature is of a frog, because frogs make a sound like "driggett". Tom Driggett had another decal that said "TR Drigget Menomonee Falls"... we would selectively remove letters of the decal so that it said "...get Me..monee..", which was really Tom's motto! LOL
I'll give up a little off my history here; I once worked at Emerys in Menomonee Falls. That's actually where I found this decal, when I was visiting over Christmas.
I don't recall much of TR Drigett, but I always heard people convey stories similar to yours.
I used to live in Germantown in the same condominium community that Tom lived in. His son and I went to McArthur Elementary together before I moved away in the 3rd grade. My first Schwinn Phantom Scrambler came from his shop.
